Orange-bellied Trogon

One thing I love about the tropics is the spectacular and unexpected wildlife you can find even in tiny patches of rainforest. After traversing farm fields, with the sound of chickens behind us, we came to a small piece of forest. I've seen many trogons with the red/green/white color combination and many others with the yellow/purple/white color combination, but silently sitting on a branch, was this spectacular Orange-bellied Trogon (sometimes called the Collared Trogon). It has become my favorite. In real life, this little being just glows!
