Kuranda, Australia

On a recent trip to Australia, we took a historic train through the ancient rainforest to Kuranda. The train stops at an overlook where there is a view of a jumbled, roaring waterfall. My instinct was to photograph and later paint, the entire mishmash of waterfalls, but this smaller, glowing waterfall that fed into a larger one, ultimately stood out. The combination of hard rocks, soft mist, and vibrant rainforest hanging onto the cliffs was just elegant!
